Born and raised in Spring, Texas, I was first introduced to frankincense at a young age through the Catholic Church. The aroma of resin burning, smoke rising, filling a space with something ancient and sacred — it made an impression that stayed with me. But I never really thought about where incense came from, or that there might be something far better than the standard blends I knew.
Everything changed when I was introduced to authentic Hojari — the real thing, sourced directly from Oman's Dhofar region where the finest frankincense in the world has been harvested for over 5,000 years.
The difference was immediate and unmistakable. Where the incense I knew was heavy and sometimes harsh, Hojari was clean, bright, almost citrus-like. It burned pure white, with none of the acrid notes I'd grown accustomed to. In that moment, I finally understood why frankincense had been treasured for millennia — why it was once worth its weight in gold, why the Magi brought it to honor the Christ child.

It sparked something in me. This was an extraordinary product with thousands of years of history — why wasn't it more accessible?
