How is Hojari different from regular frankincense?
Most commercial frankincense comes from Ethiopia, Somalia, or India and tends to be earthier, sometimes harsh, with darker smoke. Hojari from Oman has a distinctively bright, citrus-forward aroma, burns pure white, and contains higher concentrations of aromatic compounds. It's considered the gold standard worldwide.
Is your frankincense authentic Omani Hojari?
Yes. We source directly from the Dhofar region of Oman, where it has been harvested for over 5,000 years. Every batch is genuine premium grade — the highest quality available.
How do I burn frankincense resin?
The traditional method uses charcoal tablets: light the charcoal, wait until it's glowing and ash-covered, then place small pieces of resin on top. You can also use an electric incense burner for a cleaner, smoke-free experience. See our How to Use page for detailed instructions.
Can I eat or chew frankincense?
Yes — in Oman, Hojari is traditionally chewed like gum or dissolved in water. Our product is pure enough for these traditional uses. However, if you have health conditions or are pregnant, consult a healthcare provider first.
How much frankincense do I need?
Premium Hojari is potent — a little goes a long way. For burning, start with 1-2 small pieces and add more as needed. A 1/4 kilogram (250g) will last a typical church several months with regular use.
How should I store frankincense?
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. An airtight container is ideal but not required. Stored properly, frankincense will maintain its quality indefinitely — ancient frankincense has been found in Egyptian tombs still retaining its fragrance.

We currently ship throughout the United States. Local Houston customers get their first two orders delivered free. Contact us for international shipping inquiries.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping is 3-5 business days within the continental US. Expedited options are available at checkout. Local Houston orders can be delivered or picked up.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards through our secure Square checkout. For large orders, we can also arrange invoicing with net payment terms for established accounts.
Can I return frankincense?
Due to the nature of the product, we cannot accept returns of opened packages. If you receive damaged goods or there's an issue with your order, contact us immediately and we'll make it right.

Do you sell charcoal, burners, or any other incense?
Not at this time. We're focused on quality over quantity — delivering the finest Hojari available. Charcoal tablets and incense burners are widely available at religious supply stores, metaphysical shops, and online retailers.
